Plant-Based Hamburger Helper

Ingredients

Cavatappi pasta (cooked)

1 large white onion (chopped)

8 garlic cloves 

Vegan sausage

Aneesa's spice mix (see below) 

One large can of crushed tomato (14 oz) 

2 tbls of Tamari (Soy sauce alternative)

1 ½ cups Vegan cheese (cheddar) 

Aneesa's spice mix

2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp chili powder

Pinch cayenne pepper

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp garlic powder

3 tbsp nutritional yeast

½ tsp dried thyme

½ tsp dried sage

1 tsp dried oregano

¼ tsp white pepper

Step 1

Add onions and garlic to pan and sautee until onions are translucent.

Step 2

Add in the spice blend and mix before adding in the chopped up sausage to the pan and mix as well for roughly two minutes.

Step 3

Add in the crushed tomatoes and Tamari once the meat seems cooked. Then add in the cheese and mix once more until it melts 

Step 4

After the cheese has melted then add the pasta, then plate and enjoy!
