• Aneesa Khan

    Aneesa Khan has over 17 years of experience working in the Life and Health Insurance industry specializing in employee benefits as a consultant.

    Aneesa has an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, has earned her Group Benefits Associate designation, and is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) as a life insurance agent. In 2018, Aneesa was recognized as a Rising Star of the insurance industry in Canada by the Insurance Journal.

    Aneesa lives an active lifestyle, which includes a daily yoga practice, weight training, and Muay Thai. Since transitioning to a fully plant based diet in 2012, Aneesa has experienced improved health, energy, enhanced performance, and is thriving.

    Aneesa’s love for food has taken her down the path of becoming a plant based chef. She is currently working on her first plant based cookbook, and she is certified as a Healthy Eating and Weight Loss Coach.

  • Tahir Khan

    Tahir Khan has over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness/sports industry, and has worked for organizations such as the YMCA and Canada Basketball. He is currently the Varsity Sports Coordinator at Sheridan College as well as a part-time professor—teaching health and wellness as well as business courses.

    Tahir earned a certificate in Fitness Leadership followed by a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and was the first recipient of the Canada Basketball Athletic Therapist Scholarship award. Tahir has a Master of Business in Sports Management from Griffith University in Australia.

    Tahir moved to a fully plant based diet in 2014 in order to align his lifestyle with his values and beliefs regarding animal treatment, environmental protection and sustainability, and desire for improved long-term health. Through the years, Tahir developed a strong passion for nutrition and healthy eating in conjunction with a plant based lifestyle.

    Tahir plays a multitude of sports year round including basketball several times per week, cricket, golf and regular weight training, and is showing no signs of slowing down, which he attributes to his plant based diet.
